About Us
Noor Language Services (NLS) is based in New York City. Founder and CEO Samira Hassa, PhD, is an interpreter and linguistics researcher who spent years teaching college Arabic, French, linguistics, and intercultural topics related to the Arabic and Francophone world.
Dr. Hassa holds a medical interpreter certificate from Hunter College in New York City, a PhD in French linguistics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a master’s degree in communication from the University of Montpellier in France, and an international baccalaureate degree from Morocco. Dr. Hassa is a native speaker of Arabic and French and a fluent English speaker. She lived in Morocco and France for many years before moving to New York City.
